New blessings

On Tuesday, 2nd of November 2021, I experienced one of the new blessings God promised me for November. I’ve been hearing about people getting money in miraculous ways. I’ve experienced it at different times too but you see, this time around, God did it in a way that was totally new to me and all I could do was laugh.

I wasn’t even the recipient of the money but I know the fact that it happened to someone close to me wasn’t a coincidence. I saw it. I handled it. My question was never how the money got there. My only question was when because now, when I sing “kosagbara to dabi ti Jesu” I understand what I’m singing and I mean it with every fibre of my being.

In both big and little ways; God has been confirming his word and his names. He has been showing up and showing off in my life.

He says: Adejumobi, I am Jireh.

He says: Adejumobi, I am Elohim.

He says: Adejumobi, I’m always with you.

He says: Adejumobi, I’m your help.

God is becoming as real to me as the green shirt I’m wearing because he does exactly as he says. I have evidence. I have proof.

How do you want to tell me there’s something God can not do now when he’s blown my mind countless times?

How do you want to tell me there’s an illness God can not heal when I enjoy divine healing and health?

How do you want to tell me God can’t provide when he himself has proved to be my provision?

How do you want to tell me that God is not the best thing that can happen to a man when knowing him is easily my greatest achievement in life?

To a faithless person, the demonstration of God’s power is an issue to be analyzed and investigated. When a miracle happens, a faithless person goes into detective mode. A faithless person is one with unfruitful intelligence because they’re trying to outsmart the one that gave them the intelligence. God is working wonders but they’re too busy looking for loopholes to be blessed.

While the demonstration of God’s power strengthens the faith of a person with faith (even if the faith is as small as a mustard seed), it bothers the faithless man. At best, it entertains him because how you strengthen the faith that doesn’t exist?

See, God won’t perform miracles to make you believe him. He’s not trying to prove himself to you; he’s God. However, he’d perform miracles to strengthen the faith you already have in him. He’d assure you and affirm his words over and over again but he’d only do this after you’ve shown a level of faith. As much as God likes to show off, the goal most times is to confirm his word and other times, he shows off just because he can. I mean, he’s God.

I’ve been talking about needing dresses and between Sunday and Tuesday, I got five new dresses. I received an unexpected alert on Monday when I literally had nothing. I received my allowance on the 2nd of November and after disbursing it accordingly, I was left with just about 2k. Was I worried? No. Leemao. What could I possibly be worried about? Food? Clothes? What? Lol.

There’s still a long way to go in this beautiful journey with Jesus and I know there’s more to come. More new blessings and more stretchings like he promised for November. More lessons, processes and comfortings both with the rod and the staff. Sometimes I’d smile through them. Sometimes I’d cry but at all times, I’d hold onto the hand of Jesus and tell myself, Adejumobi, we die here.

I’d end this with a note of encouragement: see, God is too intentional to leave any aspect of your life to chance. Nothing about you or your life is coincidental. Don’t limit him. Don’t get too familiar with his word and ways that you miss the new blessings that come with them. Open your heart to him. Believe that anything is possible.

God can choose to bless you through anybody or anything. He doesn’t have to supply your needs today the same way he supplied it yesterday.

Will he do it? Yes.

Will he do it the way you’re expecting him to do it? Probably not.

Are you blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places? Yes.

Are you unable to see these blessings because you expect them to come in old ways while God is putting new systems in place? Most likely yes.

Do you know God? Yes.

Will he still shock you? Most certainly, yes.

Understand that yes, God is unchanging but in his “unchanging-ness”, he is always new. He never gives stale blessings. His blessings, just like his mercies are always new. Even if he’s giving you the same blessing, he’s giving you in a new way, to a new extent and to achieve a new purpose. He is the God of new life, new mercies, new beginnings, new blessings and newness itself.

This God of newness is shining the light of his love on you like a spotlight and all you have to do is trust him. Trust him and shine on the world as he shines on you. Receive and release (screams gloray like someone with no shame).
