Scott Peck said in his book “the road less traveled” that the subconscious knows everything including past, present and future. This knowledge is what our intuition carries to us. So you actually know everything, you’re just not aware of it. You’re not conscious of the knowledge you carry (this is a scientific fact). On another hand, you have the unction of the Holy one and you know all things. 1st John 2 vs 20 (this is a spiritual fact).
Now, the thing about me is that my coconut head has coconut head. Sometimes, I find myself not listening to the Holy Spirit and this is probably why I have to learn some lessons the hard way.
I was faced with a major decision in January and the Holy Spirit already told me what to do but for some reason, I wanted to do just the opposite of what he said. I was feeling a very strong urge to flee from the situation. In all my years, I’ve never had episodes of anxiety attacks come as frequently and severely as they did at that time. Safe to say, it took severe anxiety attacks and signs from almost everywhere I looked for me to eventually flee.
If your Spirit says “don’t do it” you most likely shouldn’t. Apart from the times I find the urge to see finish irresistible, I don’t joke with what the Holy Spirit tells me. I tryyyyyy to be obedient to his leadings and I’m still praying for God to help me.
My mum used to accuse me of being a troublemaker (I’m honestly a changed person now). She’d say I like to fight too much and I’d tell her that I don’t just fight. I pick my battles as I’m led by the spirit of God. Thank God for the direction of the Holy Spirit, I’ve been able to avoid many bitter experiences and terrible mistakes. This direction has greatly enhanced my growth too. It could be something as simple as choosing the book that’s in sync with the season I’m in at that point in time; reading the book now becomes a one on one self development session with God. See, our obedience makes it easy for God to move our lives.
So, this is me imploring you to make your body, soul and spirit one. Align with the Spirit of God in you. Feel at home in your spirit. Get to know yoursef enough to take a deep breaths and feel peace wash over you as your spirit and soul hug your body. Meditate. Observe quiet times. Enjoy moments being still. Spend time with nature. Count your fingers as you close your eyes. I’ve noticed that pressing my thumb to my fingers one after the other while I pray or meditate fosters my concentration. Find what works for you and enjoy. The Holy Spirit is all the help you need, engage him. He’s your guy, talk to him. Listen to him.
Cheers okayyyyyyyyyy.
