So I thought I was going to come back here and put up back to back posts after being busy with back to back exams. Apparently, I thought wrong because I finished exams on Saturday and malaria grabbed me by the neck on Monday.

I was fine on Sunday evening before I went to bed. The next thing I knew, my whole body began to ache. My head was pounding and I just couldn’t stop shivering.

Bathing became a chore because warm water makes my body itch. Therefore, my only option in the cold weather was cold water. It took all my big girl guts to not burst into tears in the bathroom.

My parents wanted me home so they’d take care of me and I almost agreed to leave for Lagos the next day until I thought it through and decided that nah, I’ll be a big girl and take care of myself. Look at me now? My head is still paining me but I’m well now. (I’ve written this post since. My head is not paining me again. I mean, it stopped paining me but it came back but I think it has gone again.)

I missed you so muchhhhhhh but I’m back now with lots of new stories and gists. Are you ready for meeee? Okrrrr. Cheers to new beginnings by the way. I’d tell you what we’re beginning in the next post.
